CzechGP: Sam Lowes retains top spot in Brno

Sam Lowes has ended the third free practice session fastest aboard his EG 0,0 Marc VDS Kalex.
The British rider ended the opening session of the day for Moto2 fastest, and continues Fridays fine form to retain top spot on Saturday morning.
Lowes’ 2:01.809 was just +0.083s clear of Jerez winner Luca Marini and Qatar star Joe Roberts, who returns to form after a dip in Jerez.
Marcel Schrotter returns to form, finishing fourth with Marco Bezzecchi rounding out the top five.
Marcos Ramirez had a stunning third free practice. The Moto2 rookie leads fellow rookie Aron Canet in sixth and seventh ahead of Augusto Fernandez, Jorge Navarro and Hafizh Syahrin rounds out the top ten.
Leading PETRONAS Sprinta rider Xavi Vierge rounds out practice with an 11th, +0.555s off Lowes’ top time. The Spanish rider was +0.010s quicker than Jorge Martin while Jerez II winner Enea Bastianini completed the top 13.
Lorenzo Baldassari is the final rider to make it directly into qualifying two. The Pons HP40 rider pipped Stefano Manzi by +0.062s. The MV Agusta rider finished ahead of championship leader Tetsuta Nagashima, who was left languishing down in 16th position. Fabio Di Giannantonio was 17th fastest ahead of Jake Dixon, Hector Garzo and Remy Gardner completed the top 20.
Luthi’s disappointing season continues. The Swiss rider was forced to settle for 21st place ahead of Qualifying at 15:10 local time.
