BSB: Jason O’Halloran Tops Free Practice at Oulton Park

McAMS Yamaha rider Jason O’Halloran finished first in free Practise one at Cheshire’s Oulton Park, his team mate Tarran Mackenzie finished down in 14th place 1.9 seconds off his team mate.
Championship leader Honda’s Glenn Irwin finished in third position finishing 0.969 seconds from O’Halloran. At the start of the session Glenn only managed to do four out laps in 25 minutes, however this didn’t stop him from being near to the top at the end of the session. His team mate Andrew Irwin managed to finish in tenth place 0.5 seconds behind his brother, Andrew completed 19 laps which was the most completed in the top ten.
Oxford Products Racing Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell crashed on his eighth lap of the session in sector four, he was able to return to the pits and complete a further six laps to finish in eighth position. VisionTrack Ducati’s Josh Brookes and Christian Iddon for most of the session were between fourth and seventh position with them finishing ninth and seventh.
Buildbase Suzuki’s Kyle Ryde, the winner of the past two races stayed in the top five for most of the session finishing in fourth just under a second off O’Halloran. His returning team mate Keith Farmer managed to put in 21 laps, and was able to finish in 17th position 1.3 seconds off Kyle. Gino Rea was able able to finish in 13th 0.9 from Kyle.
Rapid Fulfillments FS 3 Kawasaki Danny buchan was leading throughout the session and managing to put in 18 laps and finishing second overall 0.825 seconds off O’Halloran. His team mate Lee Jackson was under the radar for most of the session until his last lap where he jumped into sixth position. Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW’s Luke Mossey managed to get himself into the top five at the end of the session, being 1.1 seconds off Jason.
O’Halloran is yet to win a race this season, can he be keep up this form and become race winner number eight?
