Honda Racing UK Have Signed A Third Rider For Their Championship Hunt.
Honda Racing UK have announced a third rider will be joining Glenn Irwin and Ryo Mizuno for the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike season. Takahashi is the second rookie to join the Honda Racing Uk team this season, but he is very familiar to Honda machinery. In 2020 he raced in the World Superbike Championship; with a best race result of 14th. He won the Suzuka 8 Hours in 2010 with Ryuichi Kiyonari. He also had great success in 2013 and 2014 in the Suzuka 8 Hours riding with Michael Van der Mark and Britain’s Leon Haslem. He is a multi-time champion in the All Japan Road Race Championships too. It’s fair to say he will bring a wealth of racing knowledge with him to the Honda Racing UK Team.
Honda Racing UK Team manager Havier Beltran is excited for what the 2021 season will bring for Honda with having a strong line-up of three riders. He believes bringing Takumi into the team will be of great benefit to Glenn and Ryo.
Bennetts British Superbike Series Director Stuart Higgs thinks adding a third rider to the Honda Racing Uk Team is great! Especially with the pedigree that Takumi brings with him.
