BSB: Day One Of The Bennetts British Superbike Testing At Snetterton Hampered By Weather Conditions.
By Dawn Hammersley
Bennetts British Superbike Testing Tour Number Two Got Under-way At Snetterton Today, Unfortunately Bad Weather prevented Testing Action For Most Riders.
The Bennetts British Superbike Riders and teams headed to the Norfolk circuit of Snetterton for the second instalment of testing. The classes joining the Superbike class at Snetterton were the Quattro Group British Supersport/GP2 Class, Pirelli National Superstock, Ducati TriOptions Cup, Pirelli Junior Superstock, Honda British Talent Cup and the HEL Performance Junior Supersport.
For the morning session none of the Superbike riders took to the track as the track conditions were far from ideal. Dynavolt Triumph Quattro British Supersport rider Kyle Smith and his team-mate Brandon Paasch did the most laps of the morning session, joined by a couple of Pirelli National Superstock riders.
The weather didn’t improve for the afternoon session, so the riders and teams called it a day with no testing being able to go ahead as the wind and rain made it too treacherous for riding conditions. The weather forecast for tomorrow at the Snetterton 300 circuit is much better with sunny spells in the morning, with possible light showers late on in the afternoon.
