McAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran Storms To Victory In Race One At Thruxton.
As the riders lined-up on the grid for race one it was under sunny conditions. McAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran was in Pole Position. FHO Racing’s Peter Hickman inherited the third place spot on the grid due to Ryan Vickers getting a three place grid penalty, the penalty was for a Red Flag infringement from yesterday’s Free Practice session.
Jason O’Halloran led the pack into Allard, BMW’s Kyle Ryde got sat-up and unfortunately then went down taking Joe Francis down with him, the safety car was then brought out whilst the safety barrier was corrected. The race was resumed on lap four.
The front runners were as the grid positions were until Peter Hickman went inside the Honda of Glenn Irwin to take second place. Christian Iddon also over took Glenn Irwin taking the third place position. Josh Brookes was way-down in 20th position. Lee Jackson was on the move up the order in sixth place, he then did a brave move on Brad Ray at Church and took fifth place from the Essex rider.
BMW’s Danny Buchan had a long lap penalty on lap nine for cutting the chicane, he was down 12th position when the penalty was given. Tarran Mackenzie also had a long lap penalty whilst he was in ninth place.
Iddon was right on the back of Hickman on lap 12 and made his move for second place. Lee Jackson was the fastest man on track and was catching Ryan Vickers. Glenn Irwin lost the rear on lap 14 at Village, leaving his Honda CBR 1000 RR-R in the middle of the track so inevitably the Red Flag came out, so that was a race result and a fifth race win of the season for McCAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran, Iddon was second, with Peter Hickman taking the last podium place.
FS-3 Racing Kawasaki’s Lee Jackson is on Pole Position for race two tomorrow, with O’Halloran in second place and Christian Iddon in third place.

There is just one championship point between Christian Iddon and Jason O’Halloran, Who will leave the Hampshire circuit of Thruxton with the Championship lead tomorrow afternoon? Race two is tomorrow at 13.30.
