WorldSBK: Alex Lowes to stay in green for the 2024 WorldSBK season

By Luke Newman
Alex Lowes and the Kawasaki Racing Team will continue their partnership for a fifth season after Lowes agreed to stick with the team for next season.
This season has not been the greatest for Alex Lowes or Kawasaki, but Lowes has shown faith in the Japanese manufacturer as he has decided to stay with Kawasaki for 2024.
Lowes joined Kawasaki in 2020, after he left Yamaha, and has been a loyal servant for them ever since. In this time Lowes has won a race and has claimed 13 further podium place finishes.
It had been rumoured that Kawasaki would be replacing Lowes for the 2024 season, but the Japanese manufacturer insist that they had no plans to do so and wanted to keep Lowes for stability.
So far this season Lowes is in eighth in the Championship and has stood on the podium once, at Indonesia.
“I’m super excited to continue my relationship with Kawasaki into the 2024 WorldSBK season.” Stated Alex Lowes after signing on with Kawsaki for one more year. “My motivation to achieve the best results possible on the ZX-10RR has never been stronger.
“The number one goal now is to focus on the remainder of the current season, starting with my home race weekend at Donington Park.
“It is really nice to have confirmation that I will be racing with Kawasaki again agreed in time for my home round. I will enjoy it all the more because of that.
“I want to offer a big thank you to everyone at KMC, KME and all the crew at KRT for their great support in the past and their continuing belief in me. I look forward to working alongside them again next season.”
