WorldSBK: Toprak Razgatlioglu grabs pole position at Donington Park

Toprak Razgatlioglu will start from pole position later today after a sensational qualifying session at the iconic Donington Park.
After a month of no World Superbike action the paddock arrived in the United Kingdom for the fifth round of the season at Donington Park.
In a dramatic Superpole session it was Toprak Razgatlioglu who secured his 3rd pole position of the season. The Turksih rider smashed the lap record as he set a stunning pace at Donington Park.
Nicolo Bulega qualified in second place to try to keep his Championship hopes alive in his rookie season in the WorldSBK Championship.
Scott Redding had his best qualifying of the season as he will start from the front row at his home round of the season. The #45 will start from third place on the grid later today and tomorrow morning.
Danilo Petrucci got his first WorldSBK podium at Donington last year and will start from fourth place later today. Sam Lowes will start from fifth place as he lines up alongside his fellow Ducati rider.
Dominique Aegerter heads the third row of the grid as the Swiss rider will start from seventh place. Pata Yamaha round out the third row as Andrea Locatelli and Jonathan Rea will start from eighth and ninth place.
Alex Lowes rounds out the top ten as the British rider starts from tenth as the top Kawasaki. The remaining British riders will start from 18th and 22nd as Bradley Ray took his Yamaha to 18th and Tarran Mackenzie took his Honda to 22nd.
