BSB: Ryan Vickers Does the Double at Thruxton

Ryan Vickers celebrates his seventh victory of the season, Billy McConnell steps on the podium for the first time in 2024
For the final installment of racing action from Thruxton, Ryan Vickers was on pole position, Danny Kent lined up in second place, with Tommy Bridewell taking third place spot on the front row of the grid.
Kent was first into turn one, Bridewell made a move for first place, the Honda man made the move stick. Billy McConnell joined the party in second place and was challenging for the lead.
Lee Jackson was in fifth place running with the leading pack. Kyle Ryde was looking determined in third place. Glenn Irwin was passed fit and was running in 17th place and was the fastest man on track after four laps.
Bridewell had a moment with his Honda machinery, Tommy lost momentum and positions. Ryan Vickers took control of proceedings from McConnell and Ryde. Pathway rider Lewis Rollo was in fourth place, the Aprilia rider is having a very solid season in the Superbike class.
FHO rider Peter Hickman was running in sixth place, a much better round for the Louth rider. Bridewell was now in eighth place chasing down Lee Jackson.
Rollo was in third place at the half way point of the race, the young Scott lost 2 positions a lap later as Kent and Kyle passed for third and fourth positions. Skippy McConnell was piling on the pressure to Vickers, had Ryan cooked his tyres? Max Cook had to pull into the pits on lap 13, nevertheless a solid round for the Kawasaki rider.
With five laps to Kent was on the move passing McConnell for second place, Charlie Nesbitt was the fastest rider on track in fourth place. Kyle was in fifth place, he just seemed to be losing touch with the leading quartet.
Vickers held off his rivals to cross the finish line in first place, Kent finished in second place, Billy McConnell took the final podium place in third place, Ryde got fourth with Nesbitt taking fifth place.
