BSB: McAMS Racing Amped for 2025 Season Opener.

By Dawn Hammersley
McAMS Racing and Danny Kent are ready and raring to head full throttle into the opening race weekend of the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, set to be held this May Bank Holiday weekend at Oulton Park.
With Round 1 of the much-anticipated 2025 season drawing closer, both rider and team are eager to showcase their on-track potential and highlight their pre-season progress to appear at the sharp end of the field.
The Cheshire-based venue brings back positive memories for Kent and the team, who enjoyed two fruitful visits there in 2024. Kent previously rode to a single podium finish at the circuit last year, battling amongst the front to achieve several top 5 finishes over Oulton’s six races in total.
Round 1 of the 2025 season follows a productive winter break for the McAMS-backed squad, who enjoyed a trio of successful tests at the Circuito de Navarra, Donington Park and Oulton Park throughout previous weeks.
The team have left no stone unturned in the build-up to the new season, experimenting with varying set-ups and components in a back-to-back format, extracting the most from a busy testing plan with two R1 machines at their disposal.
A strong start to the year, as well as a debut victory for both Kent and the team during the final round of 2024, puts the family-run outfit in good stead ahead of the weekend.
The team are feeling cautiously optimistic ahead of the opening day of action this Saturday, and eager to get stuck into the first chapter of their 2025 assault.
Danny Kent
McAMS Racing, Rider“
“I’m looking forward to the opening round of the year. The team and I made good progress last week at Oulton Park, so heading back to the same track for Round 1 is a great feeling. We’ve had a positive pre-season and made several steps forward to be as well prepared as possible for the year ahead. I’m confident in the package we have at our disposal, so we head into the Bank Holiday weekend intending to fight at the front and be competitive.”
Tim Martin
McAMS Racing, Team Owner: “At long last, we’re ready to go racing. The team has had a really promising period of testing leading up to this weekend. We know we have a strong package and the right rider aboard it to be competitive at the front of the field. Danny has worked hard throughout the off-season and is arriving at the first round of the year in full fitness. I’m pleased with how the team has performed in the lead-up to the season. Now, it’s time to put in the work where it matters most.”
