Yari Montella was first into turn one, Bulega dropped down to fourth place. The Lowes twins were in second and third place.

Nicolo was putting Sam Lowes under pressure for the third place spot, Sam was giving up on the podium position. Britain’s Tarran Mackenzie was in ninth place.

With eight laps to go the front group consisted of six riders, from Montella to Garrett Gerloff. Bulega was now into second place, Alex Lowes in third place, Sam dropped a few places running in fifth place.
