AndaluciaGP: Viñales leads the charge into qualifying as Marquez makes his return

Maverick Viñales retains his top spot after the third free practice session with a new all-time lap record.
The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider grabbed the top spot from Fabio Quartararo, who improved on his lap time from day one to end the practice sessions in second position.
Jack Miller continued his form to finish third ahead of fastest man in free practice two, Takaaki Nakagami and Francesco Bagnaia.
Danilo Petrucci makes his first Q2 appearance in 2020, ending FP3 in 6th ahead of rookie Brad Binder and veteran Valentino Rossi, who continues to make progress aboard his YZR-M1.
Pol Espargaro makes it two factory KTM’s inside the top ten, finishing ninth +0.411s off Viñales’ record breaking pace.
Joan Mir completes the top ten.
Aleix Espargaro had a troubled FP3, crashing twice in one session at turn six and turn two. The Spaniard missed out on a Q2 spot by +0.017s. Franco Morbidelli also had a poor third practice, finishing outside the top ten ahead of Oliveira and third-place finisher last week, Andrea Dovizioso, who will have to go through Q1 for the first time since Silverstone 2019.
Johann Zarco rounded out the top fifteen ahead of Alex Marquez and the injured Cal Crutchlow.
Tito Rabat ended the session +1.244s off the pace, ahead of Iker Lecuona and the returning Marc Marquez.
The Repsol Honda rider completed 18 laps, but struggled to string a handful of laps together. Marquez looked in discomfort but did finish the session just +1.298s off the pace.
Bradley Smith finished 21st ahead of Alex Rins, who sat out the final 45-minute session.
MotoGP returns to the track this afternoon for their second qualifying session of the year at 14:10 local time.
