The Derbyshire track was declared too dangerous for race one to be started as continuous rain flooded the track, all riders were in agreement for the race to be cancelled.

“At this stage its far too dangerous for the riders to be racing in todays track conditions”

Stuart Higgs – BSB Race Director

Previous to race one being cancelled, Qualifying for the BSB riders was also cancelled due to unsafe track conditions. The grid positions for race one were decided on a combined overall classification from yesterday’s Free Practice sessions, VisionTracks Ducati’s Josh Brookes took pole position with Honda’s Glenn Irwin in second and his brother Andrew in third place on the grid for race one.

“there are still a density of races remaining in the championship so at this stage its far too dangerous for the riders to be racing in todays track conditions, the weather forcast for tomorrow is slightly better so we hope to run three races through out the day”.

Stuart Higgs – Bennetts BSB Race Director

The new race day schedule has yet to be announced, it looks like being a busy day in the Bennetts British Superbike paddock tomorrow.
