South African 34-year-old Bjorn Estment is returning to the Superbike Class for his second consecutive season having signed a deal with Stoke-On-Trent based Powerslide Motorcycles. Bjorn rode for the all-new team for the last rounds of the 2020 season at Brands hatch, where things fell into place for the rider and team. 2021 will mark the first full campaign in the championship for the team. Powerslide Motorcycles have been involved with the Superbike paddock for many years having had relationships with OMG Racing and Hawk Racing and now feel it’s time to make their own mark on the championship.

I’m very excited about this opportunity with the Powerslide Motorcycles with Catfoss Team heading in the 2021 season. It’s so nice to have things sorted early and be able to head home and begin the preparartions and focus on making the 2021 season special. I believe in the package I have and Im determind to get on the scoreboard and get stuck in amongst the guys.
Powerslide Team owner Brad Clarke will also compete in the championship in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 for selected rounds during the 2021 season. Brad is excited to get going for their 2021 season; the team can see the potential in Bjorn and firmly believe with a good testing program they can definitely score points and be competitive.

If Bjorn gets his confidence back he certainly has what it takes to become a nuisance in the top quality field. I personally look forward to racing in the Superstock 1000 class as it gives me the opportunity to further promote our Powerslide brand. We have several things we are also working on to make this year a successful year and look forward to sharing them soon. A massive thanks to our partner ben at Catfoss Modular Buildings, the Rich Energy OMG squad and Hawk Racing, who we continue our close relationships with.
