2020 was By-far Jason O’Halloran’s Best-ever Season, Accomplishing 11 Podiums, Three Race Victories and Finishing second in the Championship.

Jason started the 2020 season strong and maintained this form throughout the season. The Australian finished in second place only 21 points adrift from his main championship rival and fellow countryman Josh Brookes.

33-year-old Jason started his racing career back in 2001, riding in the Australian Junior Road Racing Championship. In 2009 he entered the British Superbike Paddock, from there he competed in both National Superstock and Supersport Championships. Jason moved up to the Superbike Class and signed for Honda Racing in 2015 then made the switch to McAMS Yamaha in 2019.

Jason feels fit and healthy as he looks towards the up-coming 2021 season, during the off season he is relishing spending quiet time at home and starting his training in preparation for the season ahead. The fact that he likes to keep racing throughout the season, the 2021 calendar really suits Jason.

Jason’s main aim for 2021 is to win more races and lift the crown at the end of the year. He had such a strong season there aren’t many things to improve on, both speed and consistency were good throughout the 2020 season.

The three-race weekend format is something that appeals to Jason, the Saturday race is where you receive the best data from a race, there for you can spend the evening going over everything, sleep on it and then have two more opportunities to deliver the best results! As we look ahead to the 2021 season, Jason knows Brookes will be the number one rider to beat, as he is the reigning Champion. In the paddock there are a lot of strong riders and teams that could come out and cause an upset or a surprise.

I don’t think you can discount any body on the grid; it comes down to who turns up on the day and who can stay there over the corse of the season.
