Jason O’Halloran Takes His First Superpicks Pole Position Of The 2021 Bennetts British Superbike Season.
The Q1 session got under-way with 13 riders all fighting for a chance to go through to Q2 and claim a higher grid position. Josh Owens has been declared unfit for the rest of the weekend due to his Free Practice Two crash.
Kyle Ryde was leading the way in the first few minutes, followed by Honda’s Dan Linfoot and Suzuki’s Gino Rea who was in third place. After the 12 minute session was complete it was Josh Brookes in first place, Kyle Ryde in second, Gino Rea in third place, Dan Linfoot in fourth place, Andrew Irwin in fifth and last place for Q2 was Joe Francis.
It was Christian Iddon who led the pack of 18 riders in the first few minutes of the session, McAMS Yamaha’s Tarran Mackenzie had an off at Clarks after only four minutes into the session. Danny Buchan was in hot pursuit of the Ducati man Iddon. Jason O’Halloran went first with four minutes to go and no one was able to knock the Australian off the top spot, Jason claims his first Superpicks Pole position of the 2021 season, Iddon was second with Buchan in third place, local rider Rory Skinner finished in eighth place with his team-mate Lee Jackson in sixth place. Gino Rea rounded out the top ten, VisionTrack Ducati’s Josh Brookes finished down in 13th place putting him on row five for the race later today. Tommy Bridewell finished in 14th place and will line-up along-side Brookes on the grid.

Race One of the weekend is at 16:30 this afternoon, can any of the British Superbike riders put a halt on Jason O’Halloran’s perfect run of form?
