
WSBK: Nicolo Bulega Storms to Another Victory at Portimao

Another one-two for Aruba.it Ducati as both Ducati riders hold off home rider Miguel Oliveira
For the WorldSBK Superpole Race, yesterday’s race one winner Nicolo Bulega was on pole position, followed by his team-mate Iker Lecuona and Barni Sparks Racing’s Yari Montella.
Once again it was perfect weather conditions in Portugal, as the WorldSBK riders lined-up for their second race of the weekend.
Lights out for the Superpole race as Bulega lead the field into turn one, Oliveira got into second place and was on the tail of Bulega. Alex Lowes was in third place, followed by Lecuona.
With eight laps to go Bulega and Lecuona were setting new lap records on the Portimao circuit.
Bulega was stretching out his lead at the front of the field, the crowd were cheering on their home rider Oliveira to keep with the Italian rider! Lecuona passed Alex Lowes to take the third place position, the Ducati man then went on to pass Miguel for second place.
Somkiat Chantra and Bahattin Sofuoglu both crashed out of the race.
Bulega crossed the finish line to take his second victory of the weekend, Lecuona finished in second place, Oliveira was third, Alex Lowes was fourth with Sam Lowes finishing in fifth place.
