The Bennetts British Superbikes Head to the Norfolk Circuit Of Snetterton For Round Seven.

Round Seven of the Bennetts British Superbikes is almost up-on us, the previous round at Cadwell Park saw some great close racing yet again, FHO Racing ‘s Peter Hickman stole the show and was crowned King Of Cadwell Park. With only one rider being confirmed for the 2021 Showdown, the rest of the Superbike field will be fighting this weekend for those all important Championship points and Podium Credits.

McAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran has been confirmed for the 2021 Showdown, he leads the championship on 342 points and has acquired 56 valuable podium credits. At Cadwell Park Jason had two second place finishes and one victory, a very productive weekend for the Australian rider. Team-mate Tarran Mackenzie is in third place in the championship standings with 223 points and 20 podium credits. Unfortunately Tarran crashed during Race One at Cadwell, leaving the young Scottish rider unable to take any further part in the racing weekend at Cadwell Park.

VisionTrack Ducati’s Christian Iddon is in second place in the championship standings on 223 points and 23 podium credits, he had a best place finish of fifth at Cadwell Park. Reigning British Superbike Champion Josh Brookes is in 12th place in the standings, he had a much better weekend at Cadwell Park getting two fifth place finishes, will we see the Brookes we are used to at Snetterton, fighting for the race wins?

Oxford Products Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell is creeping up the standings table, he is in fourth place with 205 points and 16 podium credits. Cadwell was a points earning weekend for the Wilshire rider, he claimed three third place finishes.

FHO Racing BMW’s Peter Hickman set the pace at Cadwell Park, he got two race victories and a second place finish, he also set a new Lap Record for the Circuit, with a Lap Time of 1:26.350. Peter is in fifth place in the standings and has 15 all-important podium credits. Peter is making his mark in the championship, will his winning momentum continue at Snetterton?

SYNETIQ BMW’s Danny Buchan is in sixth place, Danny was unable to take park in the racing action at Cadwell Park due to suffering a concussion at the previous round at Donington Park, he will be back at Snetterton this weekend. Team-mate Andrew Irwin is having a better start to the second half of the season, his best place finish at cadwell was two seven place finishes, he is currently in 13th place in the standings.

Honda’s Glenn Irwin is in seventh place in the standings and has seven podium credits, he had a best place finish of fourth in race one at Cadwell, Glenn was at the sharp end at the beginning of all the races at Cadwell, he has a shoulder injury at the moment and that came into play towards the end of the races for the Northern Irish Rider.

FS-3 Racing Kawasaki’s Lee Jackson is in the last Showdown position at the moment in eighth place, Lee had two fourth place finishes at Cadwell, just missing out on a podium finish. Team-mate Rory Skinner is in 11th place in the standings.

RICH Energy OMG Racing BMW’s Bradley Ray is in ninth place in the standings with three podium credits, Brad has good form at the Snetterton Circuit and will be hoping to add to his podium credits this weekend. Team-mate Kyle Ryde suffered an injury whilst taking part in a testing session at Cadwell park, unfortunately Kyle suffered a broken heel as a result of the crash so he was unable to take part in the rest of the racing weekend at Cadwell Park.

RAF Reugular & Reserve Kawasaki’s Ryan Vickers is in tenth place in the standings, Ryan is always in the mix at the sharp end during the races, the young Thetford rider is getting closer to that podium finish, will Snetterton be a successful one for him and the team?

Buildbase Suzuki’s injured rider Danny Kent will be out for most if not all of the season, due to his injuries, we wish him a speedy recovery. Superstock rider Tim Neave replaced Danny at Cadwell and put in a solid performance, for Snetterton Luke Stapleford will be aboard the GSX-R1000R partnering Gino Rea, who is in 14th place in the standings.

Team LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki’s Storm Stacey had his best round of the 2021 season to-date at Cadwell Park, getting a best place finish of tenth in Race two, the Shropshire rider picked up some valuable points and is now currently in 19th place in the standings.
