Mar-Train Racing’s Jack Kennedy gained two second positions at Round Three of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park after two exhilarating races.
Following a delayed start to Saturday’s Sprint race, resulting in a 16-lap race, Kennedy took the lead from the start until the closing lap when Appleyard Macadam’s Bradley Perie made his move on the reigning Supersport Champion, forcing Jack to go wide, missing out in the number one spot by a mere 0.094s.
In Sunday’s Quattro British Supersport race the Dubliner kept tight to the rear tyre of Perie during the entire race where he took second position. The duo built a solid gap to the rest of the pack stretching to almost 20 seconds by race end.

We had a great weekend at Donington Park, we topped every session and qualified on pole position. We led the entire first race and just got pipped to the post at the end.
We took on a bit of a different strategy for race two but got interrupted with back markers and Brad got a gap on me so I had to use too much tyre to claw him back in. I just couldn’t get close enough for a move on the last lap so I decided to settle for second place.
All in all it was a great weekend as we extended our championship lead and we look forward to a little break now ahead of Knockhill. Thanks to Mar-Train and my crew who done an amazing job as always this weekend.
Mar-Train Team Owner – Tim Martin
We came into this round at Donington Park 20 points clear in the Championship and we came out with 40 points clear, pole position and two second places so all around a great weekend.
The team and Jack did a superb job as always. We have a three week break now to look forward to and then our next stop is Knockhill Circuit in Scotland.
