Mar-Train Racings Jack Kennedy has extended his championship lead as he dominated both races at Round Four of the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship at Knockhill.
Taking his total wins this season to six, the Dubliner stormed to victory in sprint race one on Saturday as he crossed the finish line 4.193 seconds ahead of Gearlink Kawasaki’s, Luke Stapleford.
On Sunday the reigning Supersport Champion had an early battle with Appleyard Macadam’s Harry Truelove in race two but Kennedy wasted no time and took the lead within the first couple of laps.
Jack Kennedy – Mar-Train Racing
We have had an amazing weekend! We topped every session that we competed in – two pole positions and two wins! We have extended our Championship lead, amazing job by Mar-Train all weekend as usual – they never missed a beat.
We are really happy and it’s nice to get the win for my Dad on Fathers Day – it’s great to celebrate that with him. I’m looking forward to the break we have coming up now, I’m going on holiday with my mind at ease knowing I done everything I could. I cannot wait to ride the R6 at Brands Hatch as it’s a track I really love. I’m excited to get back already!
Tim Martin – Mar-Train Racing Team Owner
Another great weekend for the team. We had the fastest lap in both races, pole position and two wins – it doesn’t get much better than that. Jack rode really well and the team did a great job as usual.
We have a few weeks off now under Round Five at Brands Hatch and hopefully we can get a good run there too – we are currently 73 points clear in the Supersport Championship are we are feeling positive and have made a good step forward.
