Following a four-week summer break in the British Superbike calendar, Mar-Train Racing’s Jack Kennedy is raring to go as the Championship resumes this weekend at Brands Hatch circuit in Kent.
After a well-deserved, relaxing family holiday the reigning British Supersport Champion is fighting fit and ready to get back to business for Round 5 of the British Supersport Championship.
The Dubliner heads into Brands Hatch with a 64-point advantage over Colin Appleyard’s, Harry Truelove and is focused on putting in a strong performance this weekend with the aim of widening the points margin at the top of the championship standings.
Jack Kennedy – Mar-Train Racing
I’m really excited and eager to get back racing – it has felt like a long time since I was last racing the Mar-Training Yamaha R6. I really enjoyed the break, but at the same time I’ve really missed racing, especially during the last couple of weeks.
I cannot wait to get back, especially to Brands Hatch and get back in amongst it with the team, who will no doubt have the bike set-up dialled in and ready to go. Training has been going really well for me at home and I’ll be ready as ever come Friday’s first practice session.
Tim Martin – Team Owner
It has been a long break since Knockhill. The guys have had a rest and are now ready to go. Jack has been on holidays with his family for some R&R and is fighting fit and ready to go.
This weekend is Round 5 and Brands Hatch is a fantastic circuit – one that has been a happy hunting ground for us in the past. We are going with the same mindset as usual, do the best we can as a team and see where we end up on race day.
Practice for Round five takes place on Friday 22nd July, with the first Quattro Plant race on Saturday evening at 17.00 and race two is on Sunday at 15.40.
