Runcorn R&G British Talent Cup rider Ted Wilkinson is competing in the British Talent Cup championship for his second full season, he took part in two rounds back in 2021.
How did Round One Go for you?
It was good, I got a descent start to the season, we made some good progress, I had descent pace but in the second race it didn’t go the way we wanted it to go; a little mistake but I think we have got it sorted.

How do you feel you can progress from last season?
I feel like I have improved on the bike, I’ve got a lot more comfortable on it, better style, so I just feel a lot more comfortable on it, more feeling on the bike.
What’s your target for this season?
So the target is for top fifteens every single round and then I want to be to be pushing on to be twelfth and then to get inside the top ten would be amazing.
How did Friday’s free Practice go?
Friday was good, dead productive, so FP1 we finished P16 and then in FP2 we finished in P13, which was good, I was happy with my times.
Are you looking forward to the British home round of the MotoGP Championship?
Ah yes, I Can’t wait, the tracks so good, the whole event is just so amazing, it’s just such a good opportunity, like once in a life time opportunity, it’s just so good to watch the GP riders ride, it’s amazing, my favourite Moto3 rider is David Munoz, I like his style.
Would you like to move up to the Junior Superstock or Junior Supersport when your old enough?
Yes, so next season my plan is hopefully to get in Junior Superstock and move up to a 600 when I’m old enough and just work on progressing in that class.
If you could pick a song to play whilst doing a Superpole lap, what would you choose?
I was thinking about this earlier on in the weekend, not sure really, I’d have to think about it, I do like to listen to music, before I go out I do listen to music and get in the zone and look at the circuit maps.
