Tommy Bridewell runs away with the race two victory, to claim his fifth race win of the season.

The weather at the Kent circuit was considerably better than yesterday for the Bennetts British Superbike race two. Yesterday’s podium finisher Christian Iddon was on pole position, Danny Kent lined-up in second place with yesterday’s BikeSocial Sprint Race’s winner Ryan Vickers rounding out the front row in third place.

Danny Kent got the holeshot into Paddock Hill bend, he lead the pack into Druids. Josh Brookes had another bad start and was down in 16th place. Jason O’Halloran was pushing in fourth place, Jack Kennedy was in fifth place.

Christian Iddon took the lead into Paddock Hill Bend, Ryan Vickers was in third place. Tommy Bridewell was moving up the order in fourth place. Glenn Irwin and Lee Jackson made contact at druids forcing both to run wide.

Tom Neave, Tito Rabat and Franco Bourne all crashed out Druids on lap four. The top three were braking away from the rest of the field. Glenn Irwin was the fastest man on track whilst running in seventh place.

Danny Buchan crashed out at Druids, the Essex rider is having the worst season! Jack Scott also crashed out a lap later, Luke Mossey pulled into the pits with a mechanical issue.

By lap six the field was closing in on the leading trio, O’Halloran was in touching distance to Vickers. Dean Harrison crashed early into Paddock Hill bend which brought out the safety car.

As the safety car pulled in Kent was leading the way from Iddon and Vickers, Bridewell made a move on O’Halloran for fourth place, Vickers was next on Bridewells list. At the front Iddon retook the lead from Kent as Tommy took third place from Vickers.

Bridewell got himself into second place, Kent got pushed back to fourth place. The field were all bunched up with nine laps remaining to the race. Iddon looked strong at the front but how long would it be before Bridewell would make a move for first place?

Tommy did make a move and made it stick to lead the race, Kent and Vickers were battling for third place. Leon Haslam had another mechanical issue and had to pull in; another no point scoring race for the BSB veteran!

Peter Hickman was yet again having an other disappointing ride down in 14th place, Brookes was in tenth place. Glenn Irwin took fourth place from Vickers with five laps to go in the race. Bridewell put the fastest lap time in, he was putting the hammer down as he had a two second lead from Iddon.

Bridewell crossed the finish line to take the victory, Iddon held onto second place, Kent finished in third place, Glenn Irwin was fourth with Vickers finishing in fifth place.
