Moto2: Jake Dixon Wins the Moto2 Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Britain’s Jake Dixon wins the Moto2 race, after a last lap battle with Aron Canet.
For the Moto2 Catalan Grand Prix, Britain’s Jake Dixon was on pole position, Aron Canet qualified in second place with Ai Ogura qualifying in third place.
Jake Dixon got the holeshot into turn one, Manuel Gonzalez got into second place. Tony Arbolino had a strong start to the race, the Italian rider was in 11th place. Sam Lowes was in tenth place. Acosta was in seventh place.
Two laps in and Dixon was leading from Gonzalez, Aron Canet was in third place, the leading trio had a 0.5s gap from fourth placed rider Alonso Lopez.
Gonzalez took the lead with 17 laps to go, lower down the field there was a battle going on for fourth place from Acosta to Albert Arenas who was in eighth place. Jake lost another position and was in third place.
Acosta made a break from the pack in the battle for fourth place, the KTM rider was catching the leading trio. It was now a four-way battle for first place.
Canet took the lead with 12 laps remaining to the race, Acosta took third place from Dixon. Previous round winner Celestino Vietti was running in 15th place just in front of Arbolino.
Acosta took second place at turn ten, Arenas was clawing is way up to the leading quartet. Dixon took third place from Gonzalez. Canet ran wide at turn 12 handing the lead to Acosta, Canet wasn’t losing touch with his Spanish compatriot.
Jake and Canet were battling for second place which enabled Arenas and Gonzarlez to join for the battle for third place. Acosta had a Track Limits warning with five laps to go.
Canet made a pass into turn four and made it stick, Acosta lost momentum and found himself down in fourth place. Would tyres come into play on the final few laps? Acosta and Lopez touched, both riders were forced off track, Acosta rejoined in sixth place.
Dixon made his move on Canet for the lead, Dixon looked to have more tyre life left than Canet.
Dixon crossed the line to take his second Moto2 victory, Canet yet again had to settle for second place, Arenas was third taking his first Moto2 podium, Garcia finished in fourth place, with Gonzarlez finishing in fifth place.
