Mar-Train Yamaha Racing have announced an exciting new partnership with crash protection specialists R&G for the 2024 British Superbike Championship.
R&G will provide the Northern Ireland-based team with essential kit next season through their impressive line-up of world-class motorcycle accessories.
This will include the newly released Engine Case Cover Pros and Dash Guard, as well as their established Crash Protectors and Brake Lever Guard.
It is the latest statement of intent from Mar-Train Yamaha Racing who recently announced that former Moto3 World Champion Danny Kent will ride their R1 machine next season.
Tim Martin – Team Owner:
“We are delighted to announce this partnership with R&G. We will be using their crash protectors on the side of the bike, as well as their brake lever guard, dash guard and engine covers.”
“R&G have come on board with an exciting product and commercial business plan and we are all looking forward to working with them and tapping into their expertise.
“They are a hugely successful and prominent name in the paddock, and they act as official sponsors of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, as well as title sponsors of the British Talent Cup.
“They see the merit in what we are trying to do in British Superbikes, and it is nice to support a company who are actively involved in the series. It is a new venture for us, and we are looking forward to not only improving our bike set-up but also developing new parts as we go along.
Martin added: “We still have one more round to go in the 2023 British Superbike Championship, but we are excited at what the future holds beyond this season. We have stepped up as a team and we have an ex-World champion set to ride the bike next year in Danny Kent.
“That is hugely exciting for the team, and we are over the moon to get Danny on the bike. The whole team is hungry, and Danny is determined to deliver success.
“And now with R&G on board we are confident it can be a successful partnership in 2024.”
Next season will be R&Gs 10th year as an official sponsor of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
During the past decade they have expanded their support to include title sponsorship of the R&G British Talent Cup as well as the exclusive Crash Protection Supplier of the ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F900R Cup.
R&G has also supported a number of riders and teams including the 2023 British Junior Supersport champion Finn Smart-Weeden, and the 2023 British Supersport winner Ben Currie.
Jack Taylor – Race and Sponsorship Manager of R&G:
“I am thrilled to announce this partnership with Mar-Train Yamaha Racing. They are a premier team with proven success in the British Supersport championship and they have now stepped up to the British Superbike series.
“And with the 2015 Moto 3 World Champion Danny Kent in the saddle next year, I am sure they will be a formidable force on the BSB grid.”
