By Dawn Hammersley
Toprak Razgatlioglu takes his 44th career victory at Misano, as Alvaro Bautista crashes.
For the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Superpole race Toprak Razgatlioglu was on pole position, Nicolo Bulega lined up in second place with Remy Gardner rounding out the front row of the grid.
Lights out as Toprak lead the pack of World Superbike riders into turn one, it was a messy few corners as the riders settled into their positions!
Remy got pushed back a few positions, Bulega took charge of proceedings to lead the race. Alex Lowes was in third place, Alvaro Bautista was in fourth place. Sam Lowes crashed out again, not the weekend the Brit was hoping for.
Remy and Garrett Gerloff both crashed out at turn ten, they both rejoined the race.
The BMW of Toprak wasn’t letting the Ducati in front of him get away! The leading duo were pulling away from Alex Lowes.
Toprak saw a gap and took advantage to lead the Superpole race once again. Bautista crashed on lap five at turn ten, he rejoined but was down in 21st place.
Toprak was setting new lap records aboard his BMW M1000RR, the Turkish rider was on fire! Johnathan Rea was down in eighth place, his team-mate Locatelli was in fourth place.
Toprak crossed the line to take his 44th career win, Bulega was second, Lowes finished in third place, Locatelli was fourth, Andrea Iannone was fifth.
