Pertamina Enduro VR46 Ducati Launch Their 2026 Campaign
By Jack Hammersley
The Tavullia based team reveal their colours for the 2026 season
Last season was a good year for the VR46 team with riders Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli featuring inside the top five and scoring multiple podiums, however the VR46 team were the only Ducati team to not take a victory which is something they’ll look to rectify this season. They have scored three Grand Prix victories with Marco Bezzecchi in 2023 so they know how to do it.
Fabio Di Giannantonio finished the 2025 season in sixth place, Diggia had a tough start to the year after injuring his shoulder during the Sepang pre-season test, but he was able to take podium finishes at Austin, Mugello, Phillip Island and Valencia and sprint podiums at Silverstone, Hungary, Catalunya, Misano and Valencia. The number 49 has only taken one Grand Prix victory in his career in the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix and being onboard the Desmosedici GP26 he be aiming to increase that tally.
The 2025 season started off very strong for Franky Morbidelli, the former Moto 2 world champion consistently finished inside the top four during the first half of the season including a podium in Argentina and Qatar. But the Italian suffered an injury to his shoulder in a crash in the Sachsenring sprint while running in second place and just lacked a bit of consistency at the end of the season and finished seventh in the championship. Morbidelli will be riding the GP25 which was not favoured by his fellow VR46 Academy rider Francesco Bagnaia so Morbidelli might have a tough task ahead of him this season unless he’s able to figure out the puzzle of the GP25. But he’ll be determined to get onto the top step of the podium for the first time since the Valencian Grand Prix in 2020.
