Brands Hatch always serves up an extra large helping of R&G British Talent Cup intrigue and excitement.

All eyes will be focused on what looks like the championship battle between the two 16 year olds Lucas Brown (SENCAT talent Team –Mortimer Racing) and pre-season favourite Amanuel Brinton (RS Racing). Brown tops the rankings by a healthy 24 points from the Spanish based Brit Brinton. In 2023 Local man Brown took two fourth place finishes at this venue whilst Brinton could only manage one eighth place finish in race one. The phycology between the two will be fascinating to watch.

As we go to press there’s last minute news that the reformation of the Microlise Creswell team won’t be happening in 2024, so can the American Julian Corrrea strike a stable team deal and make up points to turn his emotionally charged season around? No doubting he’s got the talent. On that note we wish all the former Creswell team riders better fortune, hopefully they can claw back pieces of the contract funds to continue their 2024 dreams.

Further down the standings Ryan Frost (Fibre Tech Honda) and the unlucky Philip Soroviak (RS racing) will be desperate for podiums to keep any title hopes alive. Harley McCabe (McCabe Racing) produced his best career results here in 2023 with two superb second place podiums, the Motorbike Buyers sponsored NSF 250 Honda rider needs to dial in his NSF 250 Honda and regain the confidence that has so far eluded the Halifax rider in 2024.

The Met Office points to warm dry conditions for this one, bringing the fans out in droves to witness the drama unfold on the beautiful but technically demanding former Grand Prix circuit that is Brands Hatch.
