Skinner takes victory in race three as Fraser Rogers picks up his first Superbike podium
For the final racing installment for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship for round four, Bradley Ray was once again starting from pole position, Rory Skinner was starting from second place with McCAMS Yamaha’s Danny Kent starting from third place, first front row start for Kent.
Rory Skinner lead the field around turn one at a wet Knockhill circuit. Storm was into third place, Kent was in fourth place. The spray from the track was worst it had been all weekend.
The leading duo made a slight break from Stacey, Skinner was still leading from Ray after three laps. The race was Red Flagged due to weather conditions.
The race was restarted over 25 laps. Skinner got the holeshot into turn one once again, Storm had a good start once again. Fraser Rogers was in fourth place with Kent in fifth place.
Kyle Ryde didn’t get a good start as we was down in 13th place. The leading duo were edging away from Storm after seven laps. Blaze Baker crashed out which brought out the Red Flag once again. Blaze was ok but his bike leaked fluid on the track.
The race was restarted over 16 laps, Ryde missed the pitlane time limit, which meant he would have to start at the back of the grid. Ray got the holeshot, the first few corners were hectic but all riders stayed on!
Christian Iddon was in third place, just in front of Rogers. John McPhee crashed out at Taylors Hairpin, not been a good weekend for the home rider.
Skinner broke away from Ray after eight laps, Rogers was coming under pressure from Max Cook for fourth place. Rogers made a move on Iddon for third place, the TAG Racing rider held onto the podium position. Behind the two Kawasaki riders were now battling for fourth place.
Skinner crossed the line to take the victory, Ray was second, Rogers crossed the line to take his first BSB Superbike podium, Iddon was fourth with Storm finishing in fifth place.
