
MotoGP: Marco Bezzecchi Becomes The Fifth Rider in the Modern Era to Win Four Grand Prix’s in a row as he Dominates the Brazilian Grand Prix

Marco Bezzecchi takes his second win of the season to lead the championship with Jorge Martin making it an Aprilia one-two
MotoGP returned to Brazil for the first time since 2004 and Goiania since 1989. Fabio Di Giannantonio started from his second pole position in the MotoGP class ahead of Marco Bezzecchi Tissot Sprint winner Marc Marquez. Fabio Quartararo started from fourth on the V4 Yamaha alongside Jorge Martin who returned to the sprint podium for the first time since the 2024 Solidarity sprint. Championship leader Pedro Acosta started in ninth and Francesco Bagnaia was 11th. Race distance was reduced from 31 laps to 23.
The lights went out and Bezzecchi took the holeshot ahead of Di Giannantonio and Marc Marquez. Diggia ran wide at turn one on lap two and that allowed Marquez to move into second place.
Acosta was running the soft rear tyre and was making use of it in the early laps and was in fourth by the end of the second lap. Brad Binder and Jack Miller had crashed out.
Martin was into fourth as he block passed Acosta into turn six. Bezzecchi was extending his lead over Marc Marquez to 1.3 seconds.
On lap six Di Giannantonio made a late move on Marquez into turn four and ran the pair of them wide and Martin was able to turn under them to move into second to make it an Aprilia one-two.
On lap 11 Bagnaia crashed out at turn one and Joan Mir crashed at turn four.
Alex Marquez and Acosta were battling it out for fifth place swapping places at the last and first corners with Marquez holding onto fifth.
Ai Ogura on lap 15 made his move on Acosta for sixth and set his sights on the Gresini Ducati of Alex Marquez.
On lap 19 Marquez pulled a block pass on Di Giannanontio at turn six to move into third place. The Italian retook the spot after Marquez went wide at turn 12.
Bezzecchi crossed the line to win his fourth Grand Prix in a row to take the championship lead, Martin brought home second for the first factory Aprilia one-two since Catalunya 2023. Di Giannantonio held off Marc Marquez for the final podium spot. Ai Ogura took fifth on the last overtaking Alex Marquez with Acosta who’s now third in the championship bringing in the Red Bull KTM home in seventh.
