Lecuona holds off Nicolo Bulega to take his second victory of Round Ten

For the WSBK Superpole Race yesterday’s race one winner Iker Lecuona was on pole position, with Nicolo Bulega and Alberto Surra lining up on the front row of the grid.

Lecuona got the holeshot, followed by Bulega. Lorenzo Baldassarri and Garrett Gerloff came together and crashed out at turn seven. Alvaro Bautista also crashed out!

Bulega wasn’t losing touch with his team-mate, Bulega was running the SCQ tyre for the Superpole race.

Bulega made his move to lead the race, Lecuona wasn’t giving up the first place position and retook the position a corner later.

Yari Montella was closing in on Surra for third place. The leading duo were two seconds further up the circuit from the rest of the field.

Brit’s Alex Lowes and Tommy Bridewell were dicing for sixth place, Jake Dixon was in 11th place. Sam Lowes was in fifth place nipping the rear tyre of Montella. Stefano Manzi crashed out at turn 10.

Lecuona crossed the finish line to take his second victory of the weekend, Bulega was second, Surra finished in third to take his first WSBK podium, Montella was fourth, with Sam Finishing in fifth place.
