Bulega wraps up the 2026 championship as Lecuona does the treble at Cremona

Once again Iker Lecuona was on pole position, Nicolo Bulega lined up in second place, with Alberto Surra rounded out the front row of the grid.

Lecuona lead the field into turn one, a busy few corners for all riders. BMW’s Miquel Oliveira was up to fifth place after two laps.

Disaster for Oliveria, he crashed out at turn 10. Alvaro Bautista pitted due to a technical issue after just two laps.

Yari Montella made his way into third place, Tommy Bridewell was running in sixth place, fellow Brit Jake Dixon was in eighth place. The leading Ducati duo were stretching out their lead at the front of the field.

Another turn ten crash at the Cremona circuit as Bridewell crashed out of the race. Bulega was doing everything he needed to do to be crowned champion at the end of the race.

Sam and Alex Lowes were dicing for fifth place until Sam unfortunately ran slightly wide at turn 13 and went down, he rejoined the race but was out of the points.

Dixon was in a strong sixth place with ten laps remaining in the race. Xavi Vierge crashed out at turn 13, not a good weekend for the Yamaha rider.

Lecuona crossed the finish line to do the treble, as Bulega crossed the line to take the 2026 WSBK championship honors! Montella was third, Surra was fourth, with Alex finishing in fifth place.
