
DoningtonBSB: Jason O’Halloran takes first BSB pole at Donington

Jason O’Halloran has put himself in perfect position to fight for his second Bennetts British Superbike victory this afternoon, by taking pole position in the 25-minute DATATAG Qualifying session.
The McAMS Yamaha rider blitzed the field to take his fourth pole position, +0.167s clear of nearest rival, RICH Energy OMG Racing BMW’s Hector Barbera and +0.303s ahead of Kyle Ryde, who takes his first BSB front-row start.
FS-3 Kawasaki’s Danny Buchan will start fourth with Glenn Irwin and 2019 runner-up Josh Brookes alongside.
Second Honda rider Andrew Irwin lines up in seventh with Tommy Bridewell and Luke Mossey completing the third row.
Joe Francis had an impressive qualifying performance to put his Lloyd & Jones Bowker Motorrad BMW in tenth ahead of Christian Iddon and Jack Kennedy.
Keith Farmer will start from 13th as he makes his BSB return, the Buildbase Suzuki rider will be joined by Peter Hickman and Tarran Mackenzie on row five.
The first race of the Bennetts British Superbike season begins at 16:30 local time, as Jason O’Halloran aims to continue his session topping performances.
