Moto3: Fernandez on pole, McPhee 20th in Misano

Raul Fernandez has taken pole position for the third time in his career, San Marino race winner, John McPhee, failed to make it out of Qualifying one and will start 20th.
Red Bull KTM AJOs Raul Fernandez claimed his third Moto3 pole position, setting a time of a 1:41.705, +0.088s clear of Tony Arbolino and Andrea Migno.
Current Moto3 Championship leader, Albert Arenas, heads row two with Celestino Vietti and a rejuvenated Romano Fenati in sixth. The Italian was just five-thousandths of a second quicker than Kaito Toba who heads row three ahead of compatriot Tatsuki Suzuki, who crashed heavily at turn five, and Jaume Masia.
Jeremy Alcoba heads the fourth row ahead of second Leopard rider, Dennis Foggia and Ai Ogura. Deniz Oncu just missed out on a spot on row four. The Q1 pacesetter heads the fifth row in front of Filip Salac and Stefano Nepa.
The final positions inside Q2 went to Ayumu Sasaki, Barry Baltus and Sergio Garcia, who will be awarded a long-lap penalty in tomorrows race.
John McPhee failed to make it out of Q1, the Scottish rider will line up in 20th place for tomorrow’s race.
The Moto3 race begins tomorrow at 11am local time.
