
MotoGP: Enea Bastianini Takes Lights-to-Flag Victory in Tissot Sprint in Buriram as Jorge Martin Beats Pecco Bagnaia to Second

Enea Bastianini wins the sprint at the Chang International Circuit
Francesco Bagnaia started from pole posititon for the Tissot Sprint at Buriram ahead of his team-mate Enea Bastianini with Jorge Martin rounding out the front row after a crash in Qualifying.
The lights went out and Martin sent it up the inside of Pecco Bagnaia into turn one and ran wide and Bastianini took the lead of the race ahead of Marc Marquez, Martin dropped behind Pedro Acosta in fifth.
Martin passed Acosta at turn five to move into fourth place. Bastianini had a 0.7 second lead over Bagnaia with Marquez right behind the world champion.
Acosta lost the front at turn three, his fourth consecutive crash in a race, but he rejoined the race. Martin out-braked Marquez into turn 12 and moved into third place.
Martin passed Bagnaia on the change of direction from turn six to seven and was into second place.
With two laps to go Bastianini had a 1.4 second lead over Martin with Bagnaia close to Martin, but not enough to pass.
Bastianini took his second sprint victory of the seasona ahead of Martin second with Bagnaia in third, Marc Marquez was fourth ahead of Alex Marquez in fifth, Franky Morbidelli in sixth with Marco Bezzecchi in seventh and Fabio Di Giannantonio in eight, all eight Ducati’s were inside the top eigth! Brad Binder finished ninth.

Martin leads the championship over Bagnaia by 22 points meaning that he can finish in second place in every race and be crowned champion.
