SKY VR46’s Marco Bezzecchi came out of the box with instant pace, topping the session with a 1:34.698. Marco will look to continue in this way in the fight for Pole Position.

Hector Garzo was looking likely to go through to Q1, but on his final lap the session, he used the tow of Enea Bastianini to get himself into second position and into Q2. The Spaniard has been consistently competitive during the weekend, his best career qualifying is an eighth place in Styria and Teruel, can he claim a maiden front or second row start in Moto2?

Marcos Ramirez was matching the pace of Bezzecchi for most of session being inside the top three for most of the session. The Spaniard has also been on a great run of form since Catalunya, and has managed to get the better of his teammate Joe Roberts which hasn’t happened often in the Tenner American Racing Team. Marcos will look to be a contender for the front row.

Sam Lowes was having a good session until a nasty crash at turn nine where the bikes lost the front after a nasty tank slapper. Sam looked to be holding his right wrist in discomfort, but has had been to the medical centre and hasn’t got any broken bones, so Sam will be looking to bounce back in Q2, but how much will in the pain affect him?

Luca Marini did not improve his lap time from yesterday, solely focusing on race setup, the Italian was setting consistent 1:35.2s, proving to be a great threat for the race victory tomorrow.

Bo Bendsneyder onboard the NTS RW Racing GP bike showed great pace against the Kalex and Speed Up bikes, finishing in eighth position overall. Can the Dutchman build on this form to try and bring an upset of a result to get amongst the title fighters?

Championship leader Enea Bastianini only just made it into Q2 on his final attempt, he continuously kept missing out on the top 14 positions, until his final lap where he was able to use the tow of Marcel Schrotter to finish in 13th position and saved himself from the threat of Q1. Enea will be looking to improve on his qualifying pace to make sure he can assure himself the best chance possible to fight for the race win.
