F1: Alpine reveal blue, white and red livery ahead of F1 season

By Short Shift News
Alpine F1 Team have revealed their striking new livery in which Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso will sport in the 2021 Formula One World Championship.
The re-branded Renault Team welcome the return of Fernando Alonso, who partners French young-gun Esteban Ocon, who returns to the F1 grid for a second season with the team.
Alonso, a two-time champion, returns to the sport after a lengthy spell out of action, and is looking forward to getting on track in Bahrain next week.
The A521 will continue to be powered by a Renault engine, designed and developed in their engine base at Viry, while the chassis itself is an evolution of the R.S.20.
While there is heavy carryover of parts from last year into this campaign, as dictated by the rules, the team say they have developed and improved “every part that has not been homologated”.
The team’s management has also changed for the 2021 season, with Cyril Abiteboul departing and Laurent Rossi being appointed Chief Executive Officer. Marcin Budkowski remains part of the leadership team as Executive Director, with Racing Director Davide Brivio joining the team after his championship-winning season with Suzuki in MotoGP.
