Bennetts British Superbikes Have A Back-To-Back Round At The Rapid Circuit Of Thruxton.

Bennetts British Superbikes are at the Hampshire fast flowing circuit of Thruxton for Round Four. So far we have had four different race winners, every race of the 2021 championship so far has been thrilling. Will we see a number of different race winners at Thruxton?

VisionTrack Ducati’s Christian Iddon got his second win of the season at Brands Hatch, putting the Stockport rider in the number one position in the championship standings with 163 points and 20 podium credits. Josh Brookes had a glimmer of hope at Brands in the third race of the weekend, it was mixed conditions and the Australian actually led the race at one point, he finished the race in fifth position. Josh usually has race winning form at Thruxton, will we see the reigning champion back on the podium this weekend?

McAMS Yamaha are having their best ever start to a season as both riders are performing to their best abilities and delivering race wins and podiums results for the team. Jason O’Halloran is in second place in the championship standings just six points behind Iddon. Jason won the second race at Brands Hatch winning his fourth race of the season so far, he now has a total of 24 podium credits in the bank. Team-mate Tarran Mackenzie claimed his first victory of the season at Brands Hatch and won the Monster Energy King Of Brands Trophy. Tarran is in third place in the championship standings with 11 podium credits.

SYNETIQ BMW Motorrad’s Danny Buchan is starting to make a name for himself in the championship title hunt, he was at the sharp end in all three races at Brands Hatch but just couldn’t quite seal the deal and claim another podium finish, he is currently in fourth place in the standings and has 11 podium credits. Team-mate Andrew Irwin hasn’t had the start to his season he would of been hoping for, he is down in 18th place in the standings, Andrew does have a good record at Thruxton so the Northern Irish rider will be hoping for a change of form this weekend.

Oxford Products Racing Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell had a very positive weekend at Brands Hatch getting two second place finishes. Tommy is in fifth place in the standings with 8 podium credits in his back pocket.

FS-3 Racing’s duo of Rory Skinner and Lee Jackson are having a points winning season so far, Rory is in sixth place in the standings and Lee isn’t too far behind his Scottish team-mate in eighth place. Rory’s highest race finish at Brands Hatch was eighth and lee’s was sixth.

FHO Racing BMW’s Peter Hickman is in seventh place in the standings, Peter had a steady round at Brands Hatch, with a best place finish of seventh in race three. Xavi Fores has returned from his wrist injury and is in 11th place in the standings, Brian McCormack is in 20th place.

RICH Energy OMG Racing’s Brad Ray is in ninth place in the standings and seems to be getting to grips with his all-new BMW machinery, his best place finish at Brands Hatch was seventh. Kyle Ryde is in 14th place in the standings, Kyle has race winning form at Thruxton as he won his last two races in 2019 whilst riding in the GP2 Class, will we see the young Nottinghamshire rider back on the podium this weekend?

Honda’s Glenn Irwin and Team-mates Ryo Mizuno and Takumi Takahashi are still struggling to get in the mix, Glenn did have a better race three at Brands Hatch finishing in sixth place.

Buildbase Suzuki rider’s Gino Rea and Danny Kent are in 13th and 15th place respectively in the standings, they both suffered with mechanical issues at Brands Hatch.

RAF Regular & Reserves Ryan Vickers is in 12th place in the standings. TAG Honda’s Dan Linfoot had a positive round at Brands Hatch getting in the mix at the front, which is sure to have boosted his and the teams confidence going into round four at Thruxton.

Silicone Engineering Racing Kawasaki’s Dean Harrison is in 19th place in the standings. Powerslide/Catfoss Suzuki’s Bjorn Estment is in 21st place.

Iforce Lloyd & Jones BMW had a very difficult weekend at Brands Hatch their rider Brad Jones suffered a serious accident at the end of the first lap at Brands Hatch, we are thinking of Brad, his family, friends and team.

Storm Stacey is in 27th place just in front of NP Motorcycle ‘s Joey Thompson. Josh Owens is out of racing action, we wish him a speedy recovery.
