BSB: Tommy Bridewell Storms to Victory In Race Two At Oulton Park.

Oxford Products Tommy Bridewell Wins Race Two.
Heading the front row for Race Two was Jason O’Halloran, Christian Iddon in second place and Peter Hickman was starting from third place. It was perfect weather conditions at the Cheshire circuit of Oulton Park. The McAMS Yamaha riders were celebrating Yamaha’s 60th Anniversary with a livery change for today’s races.
Jason O’Halloran got the holeshot into Old Hall Bend, Tarran Mackenzie was in second place, with Christian Iddon in third. Iddon took second place from Mackenzie at Island Bend, Josh Brookes was in fifth place. Ryo Mizuno crashed at Druids on lap two.
Peter Hickman passed Mackenzie at Island Bend taking third place, he then went on to pass Iddon at Old Hall Bend for second place, the momentum didn’t last long as Hickman got pushed back to sixth place. Josh Brookes was into third place trying to catch the leading duo of O’Halloran and Iddon. Tommy Bridewell ran on at Hislops putting him down in tenth place. Honda’s Glenn Irwin crashed out at Hislops on lap six.
By lap eight there was a six way train for first place, from O’Halloran to Hickman in sixth place. Bridewell was just on the back of the train in seventh, homing in on the the top six riders. He got the job done and was in sixth place by lap 12, the top six riders were all showdown contenders. Danny Buchan was down ninth place.
Brookes and Iddon were dicing for second position, with Brooks losing out and he ended up back in fourth place. Bridewell was into fifth place eyeing up fourth place off Brookes, Bridewell slid his Ducati machinery up the inside of Brooks at Shell Oils, the Wiltshire rider was definitely eyeing up a podium finish!
On the penultimate lap Bridewell was up to second place with first place in his sights, Brookes crashed out at Druids on the final lap. Tommy took first place at Old Hall bend on the final lap and brought his Ducati machinery home in first place, claiming his second victory of the 2021 season. O’Halloran finished in second place, Tarran Mackenzie in third, Iddon was fourth and Hickman held onto fifth place.
Jason is now leading the championship by nine points from Tarran Mackenzie, Tommy Bridewell has moved up to third place 32 points adrift from Jason, Iddon is in fourth place 36 points adrift from first place. What action will Race Three have install for us? Find out at 16:15.
