BSB: Luke Mossey Claims His First Superbike Pole Position Of The Season .

Luke Mossey Takes Pole Position For The All-Important Race One At Brands Hatch.

All the Championship contenders made it through to Q2 yesterday, high grid positions for the Race One of the season finale are vital for the championship hopefuls!

The Q1 session was under cloudy damp conditions, with rain falling in all sectors of the Kent Circuit. FS-3 Racing’s Rory Skinner was leading the way until BMW’s Kyle Ryde took the first place position. TAG Honda’s new signing Luke Mossey took the lead with five minutes remaining to the Q1 session.

With two minutes remaining in the session Kawaski’s Ryan Vickers was in first place followed by Andrew Irwin, Kyle Ryde was in eighth place out of a Q2 qualifying spot, The Nottinghamshire rider has one lap remaining to put a fast lap in.

The top six riders going through to Q2 were Luke Mossey, Ryan Vickers, Andrew Irwin, Rory Skinner, Kyle Ryde and Leon Jeacock.

The weather conditions were still sketchy for the Q2 session, Suzuki’s Gino Rea was leading the session early on, Luke Mossey was in third place.

With five minutes remaining to the Q2 session VisionTrack Ducati’s Christian Iddon was in first place, Andrew Irwin was second, Josh Brookes was in third place. A lap later Andrew Irwin took first place, Jason O’Halloran was up-to second place, Tarran Mackenzie was in fifth place.

At the end of the Q2 session Luke Mossey took Pole Position, Iddon was second, Mackenzie was third, Andrew Irwin was fourth, Tommy Bridewell fifth. Danny Buchan was ninth, Jason O’Halloran was down in 11th place, Peter Hickman was down in 14th place.

Race One is this afternoon at 16:05, Will the conditions hamper the Championship Title fighters? Can Jason O’Halloran, Danny Buchan and Peter Hickman get the lightening start they need?
