Powerslide Catfoss Suzuki Retain Bjorn Estment For Their Second Full Season Together.
South African rider Bjorn Estment will continue to ride for The Powerslide Catfoss Racing Team for his second consecutive season. The 2021 season was Bjorn’s strongest to-date, he had a best race finish of 11th place and bagged 10 Championship points.
A new addition to the team is James Ellison, who is the new Powerslide Catfoss Team Manager. James will also be taking part in some wildcard British Superbike Rounds. Both James and Powerslide Catfoss’s Team Owner Brad Clarke are thrilled to be working together as their friendship goes back a long way.
Levi Day has also re-signed for the team, riding in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.
Bjorn Estment – Powerslide Catfoss Suzuki
As a rider I feel I improved consistently throughout the season, picking up points on a regular basis and a personal best result of 11th was really something I’m pretty chuffed about. A big thanks needs to go to Steve and all at Hawk Racing for guiding us in the right direction throughout the season.
Also a mega thanks to all the team and my personal sponsors for believing in me and this project. The goal for 2022 is pretty simple and straightforward and that is to try continuing where we left off and progress forward step by step as the season takes shape. We have a stunning new and improved bike for 2022, so I’m confident we will be able to spring a surprise here and there.
Brad Clarke – Powerslide Catfoss Suzuki Team Owner
We had a really positive first season and that has really fired us up now to build on that in the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Our association with Hawk Racing is a huge positive and Bjorn is really determined to improve on his results too, so we have a real buzz about next year within the team.
We will also have the experience of James Ellison within the team, and we will potentially see him back on track too during the season, which will also be really valuable to share his input on track too.
“We are counting down the days until we are back on track, but it definitely cannot come soon enough!
