After winning the opening race yesterday Toprak Razgatlioglu goes one better after winning the Superpole Race this morning.

Once again it is the Championship leader, Toprak Razgatlioglu who started the Superpole Race from pole position. Joining the BMW on the front row was Andrea Iannone, who finished third yesterday, and Alex Lowes, who crashed out of the opening race yesterday.

Razgatlioglu claimed his 50th World Superbike race win with ease this morning. The Turkish rider was challenged early on by the two Aruba.it Racing – Ducati riders. However, Razgatlioglu ultimately had the superior race pace and disappeared into the distance just as he did yesterday.

Nicolo Bulega finished in second place, but it was not without its difficulties. The Italian was being challenged by his team-mate, Alvaro Bautista, when the Spaniard let the brakes off and pushed Bulega wide. Bulega rejoined in second but Bautista crashed out of the race.

In third place was Alex Lowes who benefited from the Ducati incident ahead as he inherited third place from Bautista. The British rider does make his return to the rostrum after a crash yesterday.

Rounding out the top five was Danilo Petrucci in fourth place and Remy Gardner in fifth place. The Italian and Australian had been locked into a battle all race long but the Ducati rider got the better of the Yamaha man.

It was an Italian sixth and seventh as Andrea Locatelli finished in seventh ahead of Andrea Iannone. Locatelli has not had a great weekend in the Czech Republic, whereas a bad start ruined Iannone’s chances at back to back podiums.

Michael van der Mark and Jonathan Rea rounded out the points in eighth and ninth. The Dutch and British rider were battling for ninth place at the end of the race until Bautista’s crash moved both riders into the points.

The only other British rider to finish the race was Bradley Ray who finished in 16th place. Both Scott Redding and Sam Lowes failed to finish the race after a massive crash wiped both of them out of the race.
