Chris Walker Will Make An Eager Return To Two-Wheel Racing In The Ducati TriOptions Cup.
Veteran British Superbike racer Chris Walker is making a racing come back for his 2021 season campaign riding in the Ducati TriOptions Cup. Chris has been racing in the British sidecar Class for the past few years, but now feels its time to get back to racing motorcycles again. The 49-year-old is joining the 4T2 Racing Team alongside Craig Currie. Chris last raced a Ducati back in 2003, with podium finishes in the Superbike World Championship.
Walker has a long history in the Superbike Paddock, with his most memorable years racing against fellow country man Neil Hodgson, where Chris just missed out on winning the Championship Title back in 2000. He had numerous podiums when he joined the World Superbike Championship, so it’s fair to say he is definitely no stranger to collecting the silver ware and stepping on the podium.
The return to racing has come about with Chris Walker Motorcycles dealership joining the Ducati Dealership network, alongside the motorcycle showroom there is a barbershop, tattoo studio and a coffee bar. Chris feels he is still in good enough condition to race a motorcycle, he cycles mostly to keep in shape. His wife Rachel is pleased for him to be back racing as he is a lot easier to live with whilst he is racing!
The first Bennetts British Superbike testing gets under-way on Wednesday 28th April at Silverstone, the opening round for the Ducati TriOptions cup is at Donington Park on July 2/3/4. We wish Chris all the best for his 2021 season!
