MotoGP: Martin Continues Rule in Austria with Pole
By Admin
Jorge Martin takes his second consecutive Pole in Austria, ahead of Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia.
The Martinator stole the show on Saturday, first conquering Q1 to then take Pole in the second session, while breaking the lap record with a time of 1:22.643 on the final lap, pushing out title leader Quartararo by just 0.034s.
Despite leading the majority of the session, there was little that Quartararo could do to keep the top spot from the Spaniard, and so settles for the middle of the front row, ahead of Bagnaia in third.
Johann Zarco leads Row 2 in 4thplace, after a strong weekend so far, he will be one to watch in the race. Marc Marquez and Jack Miller follow behind.
Styrian GP Podium Placers Joan Mir and Brad Binder will start the race in P7 and P10, respectively, with Aleix Espargaro and Miguel Oliveira in between the pair. Pol Espargaro and Takaaki Nakagami finish up the Q2 session in 11thand 12th.
Can Martin take another win in Austria? We’ll have to wait and see!
MotoGP’s Race begins at 14:00 Local Time (GMT+2).
