Tommy Bridewell Tops The Timing Sheets In The Combined Standings On Day One At Silverstone.
It was cloudy damp conditions for the Bennetts British Superbike’s Free Practice Two Session, the top 12 riders of the session all go straight through to Q2, the rest of the Superbike field have to go into Q1 for tomorrow’s Qualifying, the top six riders of Q1 progress into Q2.
As the session got under-way the conditions were slightly sketchy, only three riders were out on track during the first ten minutes of the session, BMW’s Kyle Ryde, Kawasaki’s Dean Harrison and Honda’s Luke Hopkins.
Most of the Superbike riders stayed in the pits until there were only five minutes remaining to the Free Practice Two session. At the checkered flag Tommy Bridewell was in first position, Kyle Ryde was in second place, Suzuki’s Gino Rea in third, O’Halloran in fourth, Xavi Forés in fifth, Mackenzie in sixth, Hickman in seventh, Glenn Irwin in eighth, Lee Jackson in ninth, Brad Ray in tenth, Christian Iddon in 11th and Josh Brookes took the last Q2 position in 12th place.

Kyle Ryde and Gino Rea made a vast improvement during Free Practice Two, can the two riders get in the mix during tomorrow’s Q2 session and stir things up for the Showdown contenders? Q1 is tomorrow at 13:10.
