WSBK: Nicolo Bulega makes it Twenty Victories in a Row in 2026
By Dawn Hammersley
Bulega once again dominates the WorldSBK race making it twenty four race wins on the bounce in total
For the Superpole Race at Misano yesterday’s race winner Nicolo Bulega was on pole position, Iker Lecuona lined-up in second place, with Britain’s Alex Lowes rounding out the front row of the grid. All riders were running the qualifying tyres for the Superpole race.
Bulega got the holeshot into turn one, Alex Lowes and Andrea Locatelli almost touched! Yari Montella was holding onto third place.
Sam Lowes crashed out at turn four, another DNF for the Brit. Bulega yet again was stretching out his lead at the front. Tommy Bridewell crashed out at turn two, the British rider was up and ok.
Miguel Oliveira was having another solid ride in seventh place. Lecuona was trying his best to catch his team-mate, Bulega just looked too strong once again.
Lowes looked to have an issue, he was slowing down and lost a few positions, he then entered the pits with a technical issue.
Xavi Vierge crashed out at the last corner with five laps to go.
Tarran Mackenzie was running inside the top ten in ninth place. Fellow Italian riders Locatelli and Lorenzo Baldassarri were having a good battle for seventh place.
Bulega crossed the line to take the victory, Lecuona was second, Montella took the third place podium finish, Bassani was fourth, with Baldassarri finishing in fifth place.
