VisionTrack Ducati‘s Josh Brookes got the holeshot into Redgate with Oxford Products Racing Ducati‘s Tommy Bridewell in a strong second place, but it was short lived for the Wiltshire rider, as he had to pull in on Lap Seven with a technical problem, meaning Bridewell is officially out of the championship race.
