The 26-year-old rider has had a lot of positive performances during his time in the BSB class since joining back in 2018, Andrew was brought into the BeWiser Ducati Team to cover for an injured Shane Byrne.
Irwin is motivated to be competitive and get the M 1000 RR up the sharp end in the 2021 season; he has raced against the BMW in past few years so knows the potential of the package. Team Principal Phillip Neill is said to be excited at the opportunity to work with Andrew having watched his progress over the last two years; he has the potential to be a future champion. Irwin’s determination on the track and his professional attitude off the track is a perfect fit for SYNETIQ BMW.
BMW Motorrad is happy to continue supporting TAS Racing Team for the 2021 season, it’s the seventh successive year as the official BMW Motorrad supported British Superbike Team.
