Spanish Rider Tito Rabat Will Stand In For Jorge Martin At The Andalusian Round Of MotoGP.
Tito Rabat has been chosen to replace the injured Pramac Ducati Rider Jorge Martin, who is awaiting surgery on the fractures he suffered after his crash at the Portimao Grand Prix. Jorge’s surgery has been delayed due to the concussion he suffered, which made the Spanish rider lose consciousness for a few seconds. It has been confirmed Jorge suffered fractures in both of his hands and on his right ankle, with the injuries to his right hand and ankle requiring surgery.
Tito has joined the World Superbike Championship for 2021 riding for the Barni Racing Team, the World Superbike Championship doesn’t get under-way until the 21st of May so this will be a great opportunity for Tito to get some racing action under his belt. The 31-year-old from Barcelona has said that he doesn’t feel as though he has completely finished with his MotoGP career, so having this opportunity with Pramac Ducati will certainly not hinder his chances of a return to the MotoGP paddock in the future. He has been allocated a high-grade technical package for his disposal at the Grand Prix at Jerez.
