Jason O’Halloran Takes Pole Position At Donington Park.
Sixteen riders lined-up to fight for the top six places, enabling them to go through to Q2 to achieve a higher grid position. McAMS Yamaha’s Tarran Mackenzie had to go through Q1 as did BMW’s Brad Ray and Kyle Ryde.
McAMS Yamaha’s Tarran Mackenzie, SYNETIQ BMW’s Andrew Irwin, Buildbase Suzuki’s Gino Rea, Honda’s Dan Linfoot, RICH Energy OMG Racing BMW’s Kyle Ryde and Brad Ray all made it into the Q2 session.
As the Q2 session got under-way it was Honda’s Glenn Irwin who led the way followed by Tarran Mackenzie and Kyle Ryde. First place finisher yesterday Peter Hickman was in third place, Ducati’s Josh Brookes was down in 17th place, with team-mate Christian Iddon in 14th place.
At the chequered flag it was McAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran who stormed into Pole Position, Peter Hickman was in second place with Honda’s Glen Irwin taking third place. Heading up the second row on the grid is Tarran Mackenzie followed by BMW’s Andrew Irwin and BMW’s Brad Ray. VisionTrack Ducati’s Christian Iddon qualified in eighth place, with team-mate Josh Brookes in 15th place.

Can any of the Superbike riders stop Jason O’Halloran getting his eighth win of the 2021 season? Race One is this afternoon at 4.30pm.
