BSB: A FRUSTRATING WEEKEND FOR THE IFORCE LLOYD AND JONES TEAM

By Dawn Hammersley
iForce Lloyd and Jones bounced back from a frustrating start to a race weekend at Donington Park to produce one of the best results of the season so far.
Technical issues plagued #4 Dan Linfoot throughout most of Saturday afternoon, with the former BSB race winner qualifying 21st and finishing 20th in Race one.
#44 Dan Jones also had issues early on in the weekend. During the Superpicks qualifying session the BSB rookie joined the notorious Craner Club, when spilling his BMW at the infamous turn. The Welshman’s frustration continued throughout the afternoon, as a technical issue and subsequent retirement on the green lap in Race one found him watching Saturday’s sprint race from the side line.
Both riders survived a hectic Race two, which saw Linfoot finishing 18th and Jones 19th. The gremlins struck again for Linfoot in Race three, despite a solid start, he was forced to retire on lap 23 with a technical issue. Jones was able to survive another DNF-riddled race and finished a season best 16th – just missing out on his first points of the season.

We struggled to find a feeling that could allow me to push more consistently in the races.
He added But there were some positives. We finished two out of three races, so the guys back in the garage can now review the data and hopefully, we can work through the issues and find the right settings as we head to Knockhill.

What could have been a very bad weekend for me turned in to a positive one today. We only managed 20 laps through the whole of Friday/Saturday. Today, I finished 19th and 16th my best finishes to date. Hopefully at Knockhill we can finish in the points!
The team will have plenty of time to recuperate before their next visit to Knockhill on the 17th of June, which both riders are excited to get back to!
